Sichuan Province (四川)

Jiuzhaigou National Park

Sichuan was one of the provinces I was most excited about visiting, so I’m glad I got to spend more than a week there in May 2010. Although I didn’t make it out to the Sichuan-Tibet highway in the west, I saw all the top sights in the rest of the province. Without a doubt, the highlight was Jiuzhaigou National Park, way up in the north. Chengdu struck me as one of the most livable cities in China. While not at the top of my recommendations,  Leshan and Emei Shan are iconic sights, while Langzhong made for a relaxing place to wander.
