That's me in the foreground
After a rough week of homework and a 10-minute speech in Chinese, this photo depicts exactly what I would like to be doing right now. I got this snapshot as part of a batch of photos from my August 2009 trip to Gansu and Qinghai that showed up in my e-mail this week. It was fun to revisit this trip, which remains one of my favorites in China, and the trek in Langmusi was definitely the best hiking experience I’ve ever had here. As my mother says, the skies are so blue that it doesn’t even look like China!
In more current developments, my bags are packed for my first trip in a few months — a school trip to Chengde! The weather is looking good, if chilly, so look forward to pictures and posts about the trip next week!
