Sometimes, traveling shows us cultures that are different — at times, wildly so — from our own. But at other times, it can remind us of just how much we do have in common with seemingly distant cultures. Watching these women examine skirts at the Sunday Market in Bac Ha, Vietnam, I was reminded of hours spent in dressing rooms with friends back in the States. Sure, our clothes did not look much like the wide, multicolored skirts worn by the Flower Hmong in Bac Ha. But the spirit was much the same — on the one hand enticed by the beautiful details, on the other hand a bit skeptical about the price. Perhaps the stereotype is simply true: We women just love to shop, no matter where we are in the world.

Hi there!
I just wanna know how did you go from Vietnam to Cambodia? Is it easy? Planning to exit from China to Vietnam too then go to Cambodia, preferrably in Angkor Wat then go to Bangkok to fly back to China. Can you send me some tips to travel cheap and easy?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Lilian
